GIGs is an organization formed to provide students with the opportunity to explore the specialty of Geriatrics and end of life care. The group offers activities such as speakers, a journal club, weekly volunteering and shadowing experiences.

Welcome!

 

GIGs, along with the MSUCOM Internal Medicine Club, has been awarded the Michigan Osteopathic Association's $1,000 CORE Grant. With this, we plan to provide the greater Lansing area community with a no-cost Falls Risk Assessment Screen sometime in January. MSUCOM students will conduct 10-minute screens of the age 65+ population, then present their observations to physicians and provide participants with literature aiming to reduce fall risks.
